$1,700,000.00 – ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLAR RECOVERY FOR WRONGFUL DEATH OF 6 YEAR OLD BOY

A 6 year old boy, on his way home from a fun filled day at the springs with his Church summer camp program, lost his battle for life when the van in which he was a passenger crashed with more than a dozen children on board.  He was an amazing boy with a huge heart, who loved and cared for people he hardly knew.  He had a strong sense of empathy and obligation to the homeless and even encouraged his parents to do what they could to offer assistance in that effort. His parents entrusted the care and well being of their little man to this day camp only to have their child’s life placed in the hands of an inexperienced driver, and a negligent maintenance team.  Despite the refusal of the related Church to accept any legal responsibility for the van ownership or maintenance, the day camp, the driver, Politis & Matovina was able to bring this family some degree of justice during a grueling and emotionally charged two day mediation during the course of complex litigation. Nothing can ever bring back their son and no amount of money will help them grieve, but it was our distinct privilege to get to know this family, and their son through them, and for that experience we are forever grateful.
